sm 2017 christmas party 03 There are not words to describe the excitement that over 150 children with their parents were able to experience during this most magical event. Our team works for months planning, hours of late nights and weekends and it was worth every smile we witnessed. The theme was from The Grinch That Stole Christmas ‘Whoville’. Each child that attended received Santa presents during their personal visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause. We created a city of “Whoville” with carnival style activity booths that were amazed by all the children.

Each booth was manned by local companies or families that wanted to be involved to make this event special for these incredible children. Brave Like Bronson, Inc. made sure that each family member enjoyed a nice dinner and desserts which had a “Whoville” menu theme. The entire event was filled with love for these families. It is an honor for us at Brave Like Bronson, Inc. to allow these families to come out to a Christmas party as one unit. In the special needs world, it is very hard for the entire family to enjoy the Christmas cheer together. Many preparations must take place to allow certain accommodations for special needs children. We make sure every “T” is crossed and every “I” is dotted.

Every year, we honor two children that have earned their angel wings through many battles. This makes the Christmas party even more meaningful. Our two special angels that we honored were Aaron Smith and Wyatt Morrison. Each one of these little boys were the most incredible, courageous, bold, fearless, little warriors ever. Throughout “Whoville” we had street signs that read, “Aaron’s Avenue” and “Wyatt’s Way.” Both sets of parents for these special angels attended and were awarded for their loving heroic parenting. Having the parents at the Christmas party showed unconditional bravery for their child and it gave Aaron and Wyatt’s parents memories for a lifetime.

This unforgettable Christmas party was made possible through many donations to Brave Like Bronson, Inc. and through the “Pack A Truck Toy Drive” with our local car dealerships. (Ron Anderson Chevrolet, Paul Clark Ford and Rick Keffer Jeep Chrysler Dodge). Each donation given, rather a toy or monetary made a big magical event for these special children. Thank you!

As this event has tripled in size, plans are already in place for the 4th Annual Brave Like Bronson Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party that will be held on December 15, 2018. We hope that your family had a magical Christmas this year!

What People Are Saying . . .

Brave Like Bronson was a great program. It helped my students to understand children with special needs a little bit better. The students enjoyed the puppet show. It was funny and informative. Meeting Bronson was cool too! Thanks for visiting our school.

Thank you for the wonderful Brave like Bronson program. The students enjoyed seeing Bronson after learning about him in class. The students also enjoyed the puppet show and learning to accept others that may not act or look like they do. Thank you for the wonderful program.
» Ms. E. Foose, First Grade Teacher

The excitement that Brave Like Bronson, Inc. brings into a room not only brightens it, but encourages each and every one that hears this amazing story. Rather if they are speaking to a class of children or a room of adults, they leave a powerful impact.
» Heather Augustyniak, MSN, FNP-C, CPG Medical Leader for Survivorship Care

The story of love and compassion from both Tricia (Bronson’s mother) and Yvette (mother to Tricia) is beyond words. They have been through many trails with Bronson, but have always been strong encouragers to many. I can only imagine how Brave Like Bronson, Inc. will touch lives and will positively encourage children as they learn about inclusion and special needs. I am excited to have Brave Like Bronson, Inc. visit schools and include their puppets.
